Scholarships

The RE-1 Valley Foundation offers several scholarship opportunities for RE-1 Valley high school seniors and district alumni. Approximately $21,000 in funding is available.

Deadline for this years application is Friday, March 25,2022.

Opportunities 

Curtis Long Memorial

Two $2,000 scholarships available

Open to all RE-1 high school seniors and district alumni interested in pursuing a career in public service (government, social work, education, health care, non-profits, fire, police, emergency medical technician, etc.) Preference given to applicants entering first responder careers.

Rotarian Marcia Luce Memorial

Minimum of two $1,500 scholarships available

Open to all RE-1 high school seniors who demonstrate qualities of good leadership and involvement in their community, school, or other organization. Must be attending school outside of Logan County.

Louise L. Cronbaugh Academic

Two $1,625 scholarships available

Open to Sterling High seniors with a standing in the top one-third of the class.

Louise L. Cronbaugh Community Service:

Six $1,625 scholarships available

Open to Sterling High seniors involved in a service organization at Sterling High School.

Sterling Miracle Players

Two $250 scholarships available

Open to all RE-1 high school seniors interested in pursuing postsecondary visual or performing arts curriculum (art education majors permitted)

DeBord Art Scholarship

One $500 scholarships available

Open to Sterling High seniors. Please contact SHS art instructor HeeHun Cho to express interest in this scholarship.

Jill Hershberger Memorial

Two $500 scholarships available

Open to Sterling High seniors and alumni with preference given to those who are interested in working with K-12 children. Must be attending an in-state institution.

George and Lillian Louderback

Two $500 scholarships available

Open to Caliche High seniors who demonstrate academic ability and service to the community; must be attending a public institution in Colorado.
